gunz:2 plays exactly how Masangsoft wanted the original gunz to be played, you can tell as you play it all the mechanics are and buttons are tight and responsive and plays how gunz1 tutorial asks you to play. The problem is after you got pretty decent at the game no one ever played it the way it was intended. I understand they wanted to add more variety and allow different playstyles to shine, so they had at least the knowledge of how different players played *in the beginning* and then turned them into different heroes. i don't agree that they should have done that for one, i think they should have kept the different hero playstyles as different equipment, but you create your own player character like in gunz 1. but tbh everyone eventually (especially me) just butterfly styled female avi dual shotguns and sword. if they really wanted to make a true gunz 2 title, update the graphics of gunz 1 to gunz 2, keep the gunz 1 mechanics (yes even tho they were literally just glitches people learned to exploit), introduce the gunz 2 hero mechanics as items to be equipped (even tho you know they'll just all use 1 playstyle) give the male the same combat animations as the female (the female combat animations aren't just flashier they literally make butterflying (or k-styling) easier/ faster because the female blocking animation is faster for no reason). but also heres a reality check for players. gunz1 failed because not a lot of people played it. the player count in na dwindled and it was hard to keep the game running due to low player count. One of the main issues is people didn't want to get carpel tunnel on some random Free To Play Game where the main combat style is just exploiting glitches, now i love gunz 1, i was cracked at k-styling, but you were locked into 1 style of play once you got good enough. female avi double shotgun, sword. why? female avi combat animations were faster, why shotguns in both slots? you can eliminate the pump action animation by switching to your second shotgun and eliminate that animation by switching again, you can block and swing almost simultaneously and while you're doing the figure at motion if you touch a wall you can climb it while jump swinging, even sideways. butterfly style was absolutely cracked if you were good at it you could circle a player jump block slashing and stun locking them until death, granted if they turtled and just blocked they could interrupt it, but most none butterflyers had no idea that you could fully counter the curdle circle by just standing still and blocking so you'd just circle them into oblivion until they quit.
