I don't have a source on me so it's a bit of a "Trust me bro" situatuion but that black void roguelike mode is apparently going to be one of the game modes in the full release. The playtest for the game allows you to fight in arena style battles but doesn't have gore added yet.

This game is Early Access so lots of things are works in progress like the improved gore system and other single player modes besides the things in the playtest and the demo. Be patient. Early access games from Indie devs take time but with the passion these guys are putting in to make their weapons and armor/clothing etc accurate they are gonna release a banger.

If they did not put time into developing the game it would be half-assed. Be happy they are putting actual effort in.

The io version is a bit more fleshed out with actual scenes.
