The plot in The Great Diablo was turned into a tutorial). Well, it's sad to admit it.
After all, theoretically you can unlock 1 button to increase the difficulty of the base company...there is no need to refine anything separately.
I did not go to diablo for the monotonous passage of the pit. I am interested in the world and the plot, as well as the difficulty of passing the plot itself. This is just my opinion.
After that you can only select the higher difficulties 5-8 when you've become lvl 60 and completed pits, you can skip at that point multiple difficulties when someone carries you through torment 8 pit, you prolly can complete the last pit with someone even at lvl 1, and the moment you get to lvl 60 you have 8th difficulty unlocked.
summary
expansion "starts" with 4th difficulty (after character creation), dunno about non expansion at the moment.
pit + lvl 60 unlocks 5-8th difficulty
If you care about the plot more and not doing the pit, then you just don't upgrade your damage and armor/resistances, there you've made the game more difficult for yourself.
Every skill and whatever else scales off from your weapon dmg or thorns amount.
yes, I just don't understand the logic of this approach on the part of the developer. I think it's more rational to make locks in the form of a pit, but the obstacle is in the form of passing the main storyline. I do not know, it is strange, to be honest. This is very rare to find.
