The War Z/Infestation: Survivor Stories players, read this

You might return and notice that, though we are continuously pushing news, announcements and patches and the SteamDB and Steam online players show 0 (or close to it). That would make you wonder.
To make the story short, the first Infestation game we developed was Infestation: The New Z. Most people have played it at the beginning and have already got statistics and achievements on it.
That means that people would run The New Z, rather than Survivor Stories, since you can switch it from within the game, to show which version you're playing.

In short, the whole Infestation franchise (The New Z, Survivor Stories and Battle Royale) share the same statistics but show only the players running that specific application through SteamDB/Steamcharts giving the impression of the wrong numbers.

New Z was the first of the ISS that we see now after War Z was pegged as having corrupt developers and claimed to be a new game entirely but was exposed. (All can be source and fact checked on Google and Steam discussions)

I don't know why you're still calling it New Z instead of War Z as stated in the title of the topic, seems like more shady business that I want no part in and regret supporting for years.

For example the first topics under this game title stated War Z but the developer here has opted for saying they created New Z knowing we know the truth.

Well, not sure if you are aware of the global situation, but I will try to explain it to you.
It was called WarZ at the beginning but had to change due copyright of the movie World War Z.
After this situation, they renamed the game in Infestation: Survivor Stories aka I:SS. This game went down because of inactivity of the developer team. (not corruption tho)
The developer Team Fredaikis was able to get a license and came online as Infestation: The New Z.
We, Fredaikis AB, didnt have any access to any database, loot tables or anything like this, that's why technically we have nothing to do with the original title besides the game assets.
