It does not repair

I log in, get corrupted file message, steam verification; done. Ingame client repair; done. It still keeps coughing up that message and crashing my game quite a lot. Any suggestions that don't include 're-install'? And no, it doesn't matter if it's dx11 or 12.

Save yourself the hassle. Play something else.

OK. Any suggestions? A game with:
- epic character design
- countless play-style options by means of gear combination
- seamless progression
- great base building, including tower defence
- long, coherent, engaging main questline
- countless side quests
- many vehicles
- fishing

As far as I'm concerned, it can be single player or multiplayer and it doesn't have to be free to play since I don't mind to shell out for stuff I like. I've already played (so don't suggest) Ark, 7 days to Die, Rust, dayZ, The Forest, Farcry, Skyrim, Fallout and then some.
