Later versions constantly stutter when reading from disk, even though the performance is good when standing still.

Try deleting the wineprefix ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2139460
"Wrong DLL present" is the ONLY feedback/result I get when using ANY of the STEAM listed Proton emulators, EXCEPT the Hotfix & Experimental ones. Hotfix will run (if barely), but I've never fully reached server using Experimental (although it looks & 'feels' smoother/faster in the login & then loading screens, it will always crash, usually in the "Loading vegetation" phase...).
"An Error has ocurred while loading imports. Wrong DLL present"
