Portobugia is a management/survival/inspection game where you manage a port and must supply a city with goods and food. To do so you must unload boats, but, be careful, some of them could be infected! You will also face difficult events, to fight them, you can upgrade, construct and research!

Big update 5 : The Pumpkins Keeper (v1.1) is here!

Hi everyone ! Today, I want to talk about a little surprise we have for you! We have made a Halloween themed updated! It is available right now! If you like the game (or not), make a steam review and if you have any feedbacks and suggestions, please make a post in the Steam discussions!

The patch note

New content

This update adds the Pumpkins Keeper scenario! It is a unique scenario where you must protect a pumpkin field from hordes of zombies coming at you! You have multiples ways of killing them and save your precious pumpkins!

As you can see these zombies are coming for you but don't worry, I put some defenses!
You can build traps, mines and barricades! Traps will kill a zombie that walk on it, mines will explode and do zone damage and finally, barricades will block and damage zombies! They each cost different resources and can be placed in several positions!

Here you can see a mine exploding and killing some zombies! Once exploded, mines will take a lot of time to rearm (be able to explode again). As you can see there are bigger zombies with more than 1 Health Point, there are also fast zombies!

To help you against the horde, you can count on the new building, the Combat HQ. You will need to hire an employee to be able to build defenses. In this building, you will be able to upgrades your defenses, a grand total of 6 upgrades with most of them having 2 levels!
Here is below one example of the upgrades:

Small Changes

- When a ship is infected without having any bugs, it will now show the chance of infection instead of just saying "Infected"
- Add small red flags to better show where are the Lighthouse and the Hospital in the Lighthouse Hope scenario
- Morale changes from the Scenario will now be clearer with custom phrases added to the Scenarios where something impacted Morale
- Improve text of Broken Lens event

Balancing

- Decrease from 1 to 0.5 Knowledge when killing a bug with the Hygiene Researches policies activated
- Balance Morale again

Bugs & Performance

- Added VSYNC option in settings
- Remove hammer sound in Battleship scenario when the Battleship was at stage 0
- Fix text car capacity upgrade
- Fix text Improved tools technology

It might not be the last update for the game as we are looking at translating the game in french!

Excessive Events

Is anyone else receiving an excessive amount of events that negatively impacts QoL and resource balance? Further, they just pop up endlessly which basically makes the game freeze.

Pier Building/Upgrade window won't close

I can't believe this is the second discussion I've had to start today. This is a first for me! Is anyone else having issues with the Pier building/upgrade window not closing? Then when a boat shows up, there's literally nothing you can do. I tried exiting and reloading the game - I can then close the window, but then refuses to let me click on the boat. Ugh. I took a screenshot, but I don't know if it's possible to attach it....

missing element to 100% (sand box)

I have 100% the sandbox and I see a lot of elements missing (for a 100%) so I propose some improvement for dev: -at 100% you can't have a 100% sure inspection --+ there are the ink spots that hid some element -------* I suggest putting an upgrade in police or telegraph (to ask for info) to solve it --+ you can't be sure if the ship is infected or not -------* suggestion 1 : propose to put 4 insecticide in hold to put out insect -------* suggestion 2 : put the captain sick -------* suggestion 3 : propos...

Pretty much late game on normal, upgraded everything. Noticed the missing Town Museum due to bugged from reloading the last saved. The scenery is improved.

Small update (v1.0.11) : Bugs and balancing

Hi everyone! This week, a patch to fix more bugs and balance Morale.
- 4 new events to help you when you have low Morale
- 1 new event to reward you when you have a high reward
- Scenarios specific events will spawn more often
- Balance cities distances and Tech ship distance (when call it with the horse/car)
- Balance Morale delivery value
- Fix rare food rotting while it shouldn't have when you when over max storage
- Fix hammer sound at the beginning of Lighthouse scenario
- Fix can't send resources to other cities when Portobugia is full
- Fix repair ship with no textures

I also wanted to thank all the new players (mostly Czech and Slovak). It would help us a lot if you could make a Steam review, we have a pretty low number of reviews compared to the number of copies sold (only 1% of our players wrote a review)!
