it depends on your system tbh

you might think 'its only a console game'. i should be able to max it on my pc'
that kinda doesnt work with this one.

this game uses a lot of vram especially at 4k. its over the 12gb of my 4070
even 1440p with ray tracing on will go above 12gb at times

during the tutorial level when you fly through loads of rifts, my system was chugging below 50fps, and loading some scenes for a couple seconds more than they should
and its installed on a wd black nvme drive with 7gb/s read :/

I've been debating playing this game on PC or on my PS5 for a while now, along with other PS5 games such as Sackboy A Big Adventure, Horizon 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I'm worried about the issues I've heard about the PC ports of these games. Like stuttering and frame-rate drops. Benchmarks with my GPU show people getting anywhere from 30-80 FPS at 4K DLSS Max graphics.

My Specs:
i9-9900k CPU
RTX 3090 TI GPU
32 GB 3200MHz RAM
Sata-port SSD

If I get this game for PC, I'd want to run it at 4K Maximum settings. DLSS Quality is fine.

Ok, my specs AMD Ryzen 7 5800xd3d coupled with a Radeon 6800 xt. I'm locked at 75 fps still ultra smooth. Only ray-tracing I'am using is reflection at med settings runs perfectly at 3440 x 1440. Ray-tracing on AMD works, but very taxing. Oh, everything else is on it's highest setting and my SSD is a Samsung 990 Pro at 4tb. The cut scenes with the rifts playing off of this ssd is much smoother(not perfect) with a lot less glitch.
If a next gen game runs on Steam Deck that means its well optimized IMO lol. Cuz the Steam Deck in reality is like a PS4 to PS4 pro level.
I can confirm it runs like tits! ♥ (everything on max, except framerate)
I7-4790, 16 gig ram and a 3060ti.

I just posted a few TIPS HOW TO MAKE IT RUN GUD ;)

shadow marketing method sounds so cool but this is most likley the case in most of these new releases.

I decided to torture my Steam Deck with this game. I had to uninstall because it crashed the system in the opening cutscene and the game wouldn’t launch again.

I reinstalled, applied the official controller layout (which also added Proton Experimental), and set the per-game profile to 30fps. Then I scrambled to move all my settings to low, turn off V-sync, and turn ray tracing off before it might crash.

By some miracle I made it past the first level, and I saved and quit, leaving on my own terms. It never stuttered or showed signs of a potential crash, but it still kept my fan loud.

“Steam Deck verified”. What a joke.

I mean just put it on ps5 settings like medium and upscaled 1440p and it runs as good or better as the PS5 version.

PS5 doesn't have native 4k anyway, it's all up scaling, in some games it even upscaled from 1080p because the PS5 isn't strong enough anymore.

Plays fine for me. Tested on a 4060 Ti on Win10, a 3050 laptop on Linux Mint, and a Steam Deck OLED with Steam OS

On the 4060Ti, I play at 1080p.
On the other two, I limit it to 1600x900, and use FSR set to performance.
