When it launched on PC, the game’s real villain was the frame rate. The optimization was so rough, Joel didn’t need a baseball bat; he needed tech support. Crashes? Check. Glitches? Double-check. At one point, Ellie’s face did things that were scarier than any Clicker. But luckily, they patched it up! Now it’s deep, emotional, and actually playable — no more GPU meltdowns.

So get ready to bond with Joel, shed a tear, and maybe question your life choices. The Last of Us Part I on PC: a tale of survival, redemption, and a launch that was almost as rough as the apocalypse itself.

Everything about this game was said before me.

Exceptionally good story, writing and directing;
Incredibly well acted characters (huge respects to Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson) that you believe are real humans, not just soulless humanoids;
Horrifying and spine-chilling setting and atmosphere (not without illogical stuff, tho), and with a bit tedious gameplay, to be honest. When you're restarting from the checkpoint over and over just to do everything cool and stealthy it gets really annoying. Sometimes you may not even have enough ammo for open fight, so you have to plan every small detail of your stealth.
Talking about illogical stuff, sometimes things just didn't make any sense. For example, as far as we know from in-game documents, the Cordyceps is an airborne disease, so that means that it spreads around using its spores. If you played the game, you know that as Joel you can strangle the infected (runners in particular) with your bare hands, and when you're doing it, the infected is pawing you and spits all over the Joel's hands and, the most important, face. I just can't believe that for over than 20 years Joel hadn't inhaled enough spores to get himself infected. The world of The Last of Us is extremely dangerous and almost uninhabitable by regular human beings. The Cordyceps spreads so quickly that there's no chance that humankind would survive it.

Wrapping it up, I'm really glad I bought this game and played it. It is absolutely a masterpiece and exceptional work of art that everyone should play and complete.
With some logical flaws, I can definitely recommend this game. It is thrilling and emotional experience indeed.

Forced arbitration have recently been added to EULA, one again, Sony prove itself being anti consumer at it's core.
Game is now unplayable until you accept the one sided EULA change.

This game will always be the game I originally played on the P4 and blew my mind away, the captivating story, immersive scenes and thrilling game play with the updated graphics on the pc is truly a gift. If you want a game to take you on a journey this is it, Trust me. The only disappointing thing about this remake for me is that they didn't implement the combat system from LOU2, but either way still a astonishing game that I will recommend till the day I die.

I beat The Last of Us long ago on Playstation and I no longer have a playstation. I loved the game and have been watching this to see if the bugs and crashes were getting fixed. I got the game today on a sale and tried it out since the reviews have been better with less bugs and crashes. I did also check my specs and according to the game, I should have no issue running this. So when I finally ran the game, it automatically crashed on the first loading screen. Not even at the start a new game screen. So I tried again, and it got to the start screen and I ran it for least 20 minutes till yet another crash. Checked my driver updates, lowered the graphics and tried again, Yet another crash when trying to load my save. I have never had issues running newer games or high res games. Its really a shame because this game is truly a gem. But sadly I have asked for my money back because of crashes,

I have played the original Last Of Us back in 2014, and I have completed that game over 3-4 times. When there was an announcement that they are going remake this for the PS5, and PC, I was kinda shock. The original, and the Left Behind DLC was already perfect, It didn’t necessarily require a remake treatment, and the price of this game was too expensive, I hesitated buying this game because of it. Few months passed by, I bought the game and completed it to 100%. I recently finished the game, and collected all collectibles, All I can say is that it is totally worth buying this game. It got most of it's looks from the sequel. I kinda understand why it was expensive, everything has been upgraded, the environment, the weapons, and they even added some new features. For example, the overhaul change of the crafting system, they change the UI (User Interface) so it would look simple, and clean like Part II. The graphics is also like Part II, which is great. They even changed how enemies act to the player, which makes it more immersive playing this game. The animation is smoother compared to the old version of the game. If you're planning to purchase this game, go for it. The game’s story is amazing, and you’ll find yourself replaying it over and over again.
