Why is there no British flag at the UN Building?
Why is there no British flag at the UN Building?

The United Kingdom is not only a prominent member of the United Nations but also one of its founding members. Here's more context:

Founding Membership:
The United Nations was established on 24 October 1945, after the end of World War II, with the aim of promoting peace, security, and international cooperation.
The United Kingdom, along with the United States, the Soviet Union, and China, played a pivotal role in the creation of the UN. These four countries, later joined by France, became the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
The UK signed the UN Charter on 26 June 1945 in San Francisco, and it was ratified by the British Parliament shortly thereafter.
The UK's Role in the UN:
Permanent Member of the Security Council:

The UK holds one of the five permanent seats on the UNSC, giving it significant influence over international peace and security decisions. This position includes the power to veto resolutions.
Peacekeeping and Diplomacy:

The UK contributes to UN peacekeeping missions and diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts.
Human Rights and Development:

Through its role in the UN and agencies like UNICEF, UNESCO, and the WHO, the UK actively promotes global human rights, education, and public health.
Financial Contributions:

The UK is one of the largest financial contributors to the UN system, funding its various programs, including humanitarian aid, climate change initiatives, and global development projects.
Historical Significance:
During the founding of the UN, the UK's wartime leadership under Winston Churchill was instrumental in shaping the post-war international order. Churchill's vision of a united international body to prevent future conflicts aligned closely with the objectives of the UN.

The Atlantic Charter (1941), a pivotal document co-signed by Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt, laid the groundwork for the formation of the UN by emphasizing the importance of collective security and international cooperation.

Current Influence:
Despite evolving global power dynamics, the UK continues to be a vital and active member of the UN. It leverages its historical significance, diplomatic expertise, and global partnerships to influence key international decisions.

The omission of the British flag at the UN in Spider-Man Remastered is striking, given the UK's foundational role in this international institution. It might simply be an oversight by the game developers, as the inclusion of such details often depends on design priorities and constraints.

Is it just the remastered version that doesn't have it? Was it in the original?

Odd that it would be left out. I would almost think it would have to be intentional though, seeing as how, like you posted, they were so integral to the founding of it and all. Seems suspect that it was left out.

Funnily enough alot of nations violate human rights and they are ignored, like China for example.

They get quickly removed when selling in the Middle East and China, yet they say they support the LGBTQIA+ community fully and doubles down on said statement, but quickly throws that in the bin, when they sell their products in the Middle East and China.

so much for their support, i guess they have a profit first motive outside the Western World.
