Super Auto Pets

Super Auto Pets

This game is kinda dead huh
Like every weekly is solved in 2 days, the matchmaking puts you against people who have theory crafted the perfect synergies and you're gonna lose unless you look up a reddit guide to victory.

I miss the old SAP

I don't even look at Reddit and somehow end up winning... Hmm.

Maybe it's best if you provided an example we could work out.
Yeah honestly there is also too maany pets :/ like also for some reason even if I was in the normal pack I have to vs people in the weekly pack. Like its hard to keep up honestly.

We're three friends playing over here, never looking at guides or anything, just enjoying getting achievements and new teams and, for one I do love a lot, not playing Food + Peacock everytime. And I do think the game is pretty balanced overall ? In custom packs, of course not, as it's possible to get very optimized compo'. But in regular packs ? Each one of my win is weirder than the last, because I try to get all achievements in each new pack. And from what I see with my friends, they also like to win with any strategy, but not multiple times. Playing something and winning with it a few time is fun but even their favorite pets lose a bit of flavor to play when it's too often.

Mostly, we don't really play to win but win like 30% of our casual games (more or less, this weekly pack I got from many loss to lots of wins once I got the hang of it). Could be more but also, trying weird things and risky teams is really fun and what keeps us playing.

I never knew you could face people in different packs though ? Like, are you sure the normal pack makes you face the weekly pack ? I thought it was always normal vs normal, weekly vs weekly, custom vs custom, etc ?

Where it gets a bit harder and more frustrating is with custom packs. I did a few in the past to try to fit all sniping abilities together, all buy/sell, but... it both got boring to always play the same thing, and some strategies are better than others (before nerf, vampire bat + bacteria (or is it microbe, i don't remember), was a good example). But still fun to try wild things.

I wouldn't be surprised though, that even if there are new people starting the game, many have gotten the hang of it and get stronger strategies going. Especially if you go undefeated in the early game, you'll face teams that have the same amount of win/loss as you, and some really are min-maxed. But still, it means you had a good enouh strategy that you can salvage it, although not with a perfect streak.

I don't really know anymore but I am pretty sure it is patched. Also I feel like I shouldn't have to look up strategies every other week imo. I know about the game I am just an old player but they "nerfed" everything so hard like atleast in the "normal" pack. Also the game kinda died.

The newest expansion was awful. They are clearly running out of ideas and are trying to jam too many pets into a simple gameplay loop.
Honestly for my first few rounds I lost a lot with the new pack.
I don't have money for DLC so I play the weekly rotation all the time, it kills time for me while waiting for things.

I was also a little frustrated at first, but all I had to do was watch the teams that would beat me to see how I should improve.
I still don't win a whole lot, but its not like I expect to win every single match I start to begin with. :lunar2024dragoninablanket:
Clearly the jump archetype is a bit too strong at the moment, as well as Warf. But overall I don't feel you are forced to play the new pets to win.

The problem is I don't like new pets at all. I am still playing golden pack

I'm playing in Arena mode all the time, it's like a fidget toy for me, nothing else, I don't care about the progress, cuz there is none

player counts been dwindling which is sad, they really ought to add cosmetics + workshop

I'd rather add an offline mode. This is for sure a game I'd play on road trips if I could
I mostly play on mobile and have for years now - I literally only play the turtle pack and never plan on changing that.

For me the packs got progressively worse and worse, the latest one was such a cluster♥♥♥♥ of overcomplicated mechanics and poor balance Iit turned me off completely

I never worried about this game eating data. Thats the job of video. I used to constantly play this on road trips and used to play it at work all the time.
