Audio Issue after waking from sleep
When playing a game, if I pause a game then put the Steam Deck to sleep, then wake it up to play the same game, it has audio/sound problems. Some games are worse than others. I experience anything from crackling, warped sound, delayed/unsynced sound (such as cut scenes), or missing audio together. Existing and restarted the game fixes the issue, but I can't put the Deck to sleep and pick it up again later to play the same game without an audio problem.

yep, still around.
might add that the the sound is fine when I plug in headphones, very weird.
Only the internal speakers seem to be affected.

Hi all, we just bumped Preview OS (version 3.4) with an audio driver fix. If you've been running into the suspend/resume audio issues with the built-in speakers or the headphone jack, can you please test this and let us know if you are still running into issues.

Please include as much relevant information as possible including game and proton version.

I believe I was able to replicate this under 3.4.2 in “Horizon: Zero Dawn”. I believe it only happens if you put the steam deck to sleep while there is an active audio stream. I.e., if I put the deck to sleep in the middle of gameplay WITHOUT pausing, it sometimes resumes with the audio stuttering bug.

I have been able to avoid this issue entirely by PAUSING the game first, but that is because in Horizon Zero Dawn, the pause menu mutes all music and sound. Sleeping and waking when in that soundless pause menu allows me to always avoid this bug.

I've the same problem as Joc3!, game audio after waking is like 10 seconds behind but the steam interface audio is in perfect sync.

I'm playing the native Linux version Dead Cells, so I don't think proton is the issue here.

I solved the problem, apparently it is steam OS in desktop mode, enter that mode and only activate the audio that is disabled
