No blood...
So that it can be sold to Whinney the Pooh China... Won't buy.

The game does have small blood splats when you hit an enemy with a standard projectile but don't outright kill them.

What it actually lacks is the series' cartoonish gore, such as shotguns blasting enemies into paste and sword/bayonet enemies impaling themselves on death.

ironicly awakening has that and that game was first released in china.

Yeah I'm not getting this since they either sort of lazily copied some things from Metal Slug but didn't do enough homework, or didn't want the game to be too edgy, or something. Lame

It might be the latter. In fact, there are people who like Metal Slug but dislike the brutal death scenes.
