Went to https://www.ea.com/ea-app#downloads
I downloaded the installer for the App, tried to install. It told me I already had it installed. Gave me a choice to Open Launcher or Repair. Opening it failed so I re-ran the installer and then clicked the "Repair."
After Repair (and seemingly an update) I opend the game from the EA App's library and the game finally opened for me.
I'm on Win 10.
Gonna try it out, thanks!
In general what I did was put the game's .exe on administrator and disable fullscreen optimization, and after it happened again I did the same to "EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe" and so far it was fine
Doing this might assure a fix but every time you want to open the game, the EA game launcher will ask permission to open an administrator file (the anti cheat exxecutable)
If that didn't help, run the EA anti cheat's installer and perform a repair/update of it, that might help too
