There needs to be more difficulties below Normal for gauntlet if this is what its going to be at launch.
Having to fight secret characters that all get spawning invincibility, then shield and dash towards you with instant-stun melee weapons is just genuine luck, Easy its hard to die at all and Normal its hard to even get through the first level where every enemy will ragdoll you to death instantly if they hit you once with either their melee or ranged attacks (they're invincible for 5 entire seconds after spawning lol)

now that ive played a lot more im realizing that i just really dont like the starting weapons for the demo's gauntlet, the rest of it is completely fine even on hard

Hey thanks for the feedback. The invincibility timer for the spawning AI being that long was not our intent. I think there was an unfortunate timing when you happened to play and us pushing a temp bugged demo version for our playtesters to test pre-launch. Sorry about that.

The invincible spawning time should be now under 1.5 seconds on the current demo version. Should feel much more fair. Although at the higher difficulties, you do want to give a bit of space away from their spawn. They are smart enough to shield and dash at you to close the initial distance if you try to camp spawn.

We try to have a diverse set of weapons on each map. The second Gauntlet map "Omegabyte's ordeal" might have sets more to your liking.

Thanks for the feedback, it's hard to balance the game after playing it for so long. Same with the playtesters & our community, the longer they play, the more bias they get too. We appreciate the fresh eyes.

i will say that while my opnion has stablized to be more positive, the non-pvp modes suffer a lot from corpses being very durable, sticky, and permanent, a lot of the time you lose to corpses forcing you out of a position or bogging you down rather than actual alive enemies
