Why are some major settlements field battles insted of siege battles?
I just defended the Palace of Ruin and was surprised that i had to fight a field battle.
I had Tier 3 Walls and was expecting a siege battle.

It happened with another settlement in the northeast above Grimgor.

Is there a way to check if the settlement gets a siege battle?

Right now Dwarfs and back then with Grimgor.

If you hover over the main settlement building chain it will tell you if it "Adds Walls" to the settlement.

However if you launched the attack it will always be a field battle regardless of settlement type.

Ah i see the adds walls part is greyed out on the main building.
That explains it, thanks dude.
