C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Koikatsu Party\BepInEx\plugins

and remove these two plugins/dll files..

worked for me but some of the proportions seem to be off any idea why?

I am having a similar problem, only when loading in VR. This happened after the update, and I re-applied the patch. I believe that both VR and non-VR modes worked initially after re-applying the patch, but I'm not 100% sure. The initial screen comes up where I can select the characters and the room. It is after clicking CONFIRM for the final time that it then gives me a progress bar, that only goes half way then stops. If I move around the room I can see the characters and the room. It appears that an orb where my seated position is does not load. Also, the controllers only stay in action mode. I can switch then between Action, Move, and System up until I click Confirm for that last time. I have 32gb of ram and a Ryzen 7 3700x.

I am thinking about uninstalling KKP and re-downloading it then re-applying the patch. ANy thgouths?

I literally have the exact same problem word for word, i uninstalled the game, re-downloaded and re-applied the patch but it did not fix the issue. robj72, fix of deleting those 2 files finally seems to have fixed the game though.

For those still experiencing issues, a mod from the game's Discord server helped me out.

You will need to download these three Zip folders and extract them all to the game's folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Koikatsu Party)

https://github.com/IllusionMods/AnimationLoader/releases/download/v1.1.2.2/AnimationLoader.Koikatu_v1.1.2.2.zip (overwrite the existing file if you have it)

That didn't work but deleting the files for KK_Bulge and KK_ExpandMaleMaker worked
