Playing ambush on the Insurgency can be a nervy experience (Ambush: Where one player is randomly assigned as the VIP, needing to get to point A or B on the map without being killed), but those nerves soon disappear when the reassuring voice of Phil booms over mic, "Don’t worry JC, you ruggedly handsome, charismatic son of a gun, I'm here! Just stay with me, do what I do and follow my lead".
Seeing the rock steady movements of Phil taking the lead soon eases the tension you felt and as the round progresses, it invariably ends up with only the two of you alive... a duo against [sometimes] an entire enemy team... a duo who will go down fighting together… and that’s ok, because you're with Phil 'The Destroyer', a maestro at strategic planning and he will never abandon you!
(continued in next post due to a 1000 character constraint)
... and then it happens 45 seconds later... words from Phil which changes everything.. "sorry JC, I have to go, bye"... *ThePhilthyOne has disconnected from the server* ....
Switching to ‘plan B’ you start rushing towards A or B as though you have irritable bowel syndrome, all the while repeating words similar to “CLUCKING BELL” to yourself over and over.
:) Kidding aside, Phil is a great player and will back you up no matter what decision you make (quite often the wrong one in my case), and doesn’t judge you for it… what more could you ask for? Thanks Phil :)
